Spine is faded else very good. ; "This special edition has been prepared for presentation to the friends of the author and the publisher. " It is inscribed to Marie Syrkin April 14, 1970 & it is signed twice. First Printing is stated and this is the second issue of the first printing. There is a neat small label at the back of the book in the inner cover that states"Bequest from the Marie Syrkin Library February 1, 1989". The author was born in 1928 in the town of Sighet in Transylvania. He was still a child when he was taken from his home and sent first to the Auschwitz Concentration Camp and then to Buchenwald. After the holocaust he was brought to Paris, where he lived and worked as a journalist and writer. Marie Syrkin is the daughter of a pioneer Zionist and a well-known Jewish writer and jounalist; 211pp pages
